Hello-
i was hoping for some imput and information. So when changing my front passenger side rotor yesterday, the thing was seized on a nd stuck bad. I tried the bolt removal method fromt the back side which didn’t work and resulted in a bent bolt that I had to cut off with a hack saw. When I did that I hit the CV axel boot with the saw, and tore a hole in it, so I had to replace the CV axel. Well, go back to getting the rotor off... finally started hammering harder than I probably should have and a magnetized ball bearing came out of somewhere(I don’t know where) It was round vs cylinder shaped.
Do you think it came from the newly cracked/cut CV axel(from inside the boot) where those ball bearings are?
Could it have come from the HUB? I don’t see how it could have keeping in mind the rotor was still on at the time and the HUB is sealed and I don’t see anyway it could have “gotten out of there”?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
