Sorry for my ignorance here but what do you mean”deal with all that” with what exactly? Electrical stuff?

Most concerning for me is:
"Also when I get into top gear it seems to make a funny sound but I think that may be the MDS thing shutting down cylinders"

MDS doesn't really make a noise other than a change in exhaust sound with some aftermarket exhausts. Depending on what that "funny sound" is, it could be the sound of something expensive. Or, maybe it's nothing major, "funny sound" can cover a lot of ground. Maybe you ran over a clown.

Well I guess i said that wrong. It’s not a funny noise. It’s more like it feels like it goes into 10th gear or is firing on 4 cylinders. I can just hear the exhaust note change. Then if I hit the gas pedal it’s back to full power. Or if I put it in the 5 on shifter it goes away. I think it’s the MDS and I’m just not used to that. The only CEL I have so far is a p0456 small evap leak detected. I’m guessing some check valve on the tank maybe but I’m not too concerned because I dont have an emission test.

I was more wondering what could be wrong with the 4wd but again I’m not super concerned because I will mostly be driving this truck in the summer months.

But I could always sell this one and look for another. They honestly seem to all have the same issues so I don’t know.

The other problem is the rear sliding window just clicks when I hit the button. It sounds like it’s stuck possibly or frozen cables. Not sure if that’s a common problem.

Otherwise I really like the truck. Everything else works great on it.

Okay I found a local guy to help me figure out the TIPM issue. Turns out the previous owner installed a TIPM from a 2010 not a 2009 so it will never work right according to the local guy.

He ordered me a TIPM from a 2009 with the correct part number and he is going to code my VIN to it for $350 total. I didn’t think that was too bad considering I saw them on eBay for $1000

I’ll report back if this fixes the 4wd and fuel/oil gauge issues.

I have been driving the truck almost everyday and had no issues besides the 4x4 and gauge thing.

You just perfectly described the MDS operation.
