Hey everybody, hopefully im posting this in the right place but im new to the forum so feel free to direct me to a better place.
I have a 2010 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi and in the past few months im having a problem where the truck is just turning off when making right turns, and one left turn out of the 10 or so times its happened. Ill be driving and everything will be fine and then mid turn the power steering is gone because the truck shut off. I throw it in neutral and start it right back up with no problem and hen she'll run fine until the next time it happens. When it shuts down sometimes i catch a glimpse of an oil warning light being on before i restart it but i dont know. The truck isnt throwing any other codes aside from that oil light when it shuts down. The oil pressure sensor has been replaced and my oil levels are fine. Any ideas what could be causing this would be very welcome.
Ive budgeted about $3k to put into the truck in the next few weeks but i cant fix it if i dont know what the problem is!!!! thanks in advance!

On a hunch, check for loose grounds under the hood. Battery cables tight?
I have the same year so there's no electronic steering so don't think it's a steering issue.

One question, when this happens does everything else quit working, radio, lights, blower?
Check your battery connections to be sure they are tight and not corroded.
Then check all major grounding contact points for corrosion and clean as needed, plus check to be sure they are tight.
Then look at the wire and plug connections at the alternator.

I’d bet the inside of your throttle body is dirty, not allowing enough air to bypass the throttle blade when you release the accelerator pedal to turn, causing the idle speed to drop and stall the engine.

Inspect the inside of the bore and clean with throttle body cleaner (not carburetor spray cleaner).

The oil warning light is coming on because the idle speed drops too low.

A dirty throttle body causing a low idle speed (and an engine stall) will not set a code.

When it dies, is it immediate or does the engine sputter and try to stay alive? you would need to find out it you're losing spark or fuel. If it was a loose or corroded connection causing fuel pump to cut out, I would think it would sputter for just a second before dying.

When it shuts down, does the cluster go completely dead, as if the truck is off with no key in the ignition? Or, does the cluster stay lit as if you put the ignition in run but not started? If you start the truck, can you wiggle the fob around in the ignition and make the truck shut down?

Everything i checked was all good.

Im gonna talk to my mechanic about this idea!

Everything stays on just fine just the engine stops.

No sputter, just literally turns off immediately and then starts right back up with zero problem.
