I have a 2011 Ram with a 5.7 Hemi. While exiting the highway it suddenly just shut off without warning. Upon inspection we discovered a bend intake valve on the number 3 cylinder and a bent exhaust valve on the number 5 cylinder. No bent pushrods, or broken valve springs. We also checked the timing chain and it is good as well. I did use a Superchip tuner about 3 years ago at about 70,000 miles to shut the MDS off. The truck currently has 109,000 miles on it. I have the head at the local machine shop being repaired but we are all stumped as to what could have caused this to begin with. Anyone have any experience with a similar issue??
Thank you in advance.
