We replaced the cam, lifters and timing chain on my son’s 2017 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi last year after it overheated. We sent the heads out to be resurfaced changed the valve seals put everything together and it ran great until last week when he was towing a landscape trailer it made a pop and shut down. I took the valve covers off and found that all of the exhaust pushrods but 2 were bent. Any ideas on what could’ve caused this and what we should do next. I’m just looking to get it running and trade it in!

Camshaft pin is sheared, usually happens if you don't torque the cam bolt to 90 lb-ft.The Hemi is an interferance engine, and odds are if it bent pushrods,it'll also have bent valves to.

As WildOne stated, engine will eat valve train if out of time, Like the busted alignment pin on the cam, a failed timing chain or chain tensioner, allowing timing to jump, will do this also.

Take off the timing cover and your culprit will be in there, some where.

Thank you guys for the info you all confirmed my thoughts that I’m in for a complete rebuild again. Hopefully the heads are salvageable. I’ll keep you updated!
