Have a 2011 with both driver and pass side that need the rockers replaced... rusted right through. Have read more than 1 post about a truck from Canada with the same issue. We didn't know ours was from Canada until tried to have a warranty claim after dealer said we still had the powertrain warranty when we bought it!!... but enough of that. Truck is in great working condition but the rockers are basically gone.

My son and I are going to try and tackle this one on our own, we are not body guys by any means but the quotes to fix were just too much and most wouldn't even touch it. Starting my research on this one and seems there are replacement panels available. little bit of welding and sanding and I think we will just bed line the lower of the truck black when done.

One first thought was I need to take the doors off.... took a quick look at my 2015 and looks like the best bet is to remove the nuts on the door side as the bolts on the body side are painted over. No pin either.

any information before we head down this path would be helpful..... Thanks

need to refresh this a bit..... watched a bunch of videos and researched on the internet. Never really found out if truly possible but if I replace the entire rocker with the repair parts from a place like Raybuck do you think I can just overlap a bit and use the panel epoxy instead of welding? Could drive a few screws to hold but then grind them off. Not looking for show finish but just want to get rid of the rust. Plan on just putting chassis saver on the lower anyway
