Just wondering if anyone could help me out with the best led lights and resistors to buy for my 2012 ram 1500. I have the quad headlights with fogs. I don't want a blue light just the bright white not sure if that's around 6k?

Which headlight assembly do you have? Single.. Quads.. Projector?

I have the Quad headlights and this is what I ordered. They match perfectly.

The heads and fogs are stupid bright lol. Haven't had any issues out of them yet. 100% plug-n-play and Canbus friendly. No bulb out messages in the evic.

Space money that looks awesome and yes I have the quads I see you have the H11 for the low beam what number did you order for you high beam. Also does the fogs have a resistor or ballast like the headlights and is everything 6000k?

The fogs need no resistors or ballasts. They plug in and come on just like a normal halogen bulb. Yes, my low's are H11's. The kit for the low beams comes with everything you need to p-n-p.

I didn't get anything for my high beams as I plan on putting a 42" 6000k light bar in the lower valance of my bumper. That should be one hell of a high beam enough for me lol.

Haha yea I would say that will get someone's attention. With my programmer when I hit the brights every light comes on that's why I was wondering but I can turn that off. Thanks a lot for the info I been searching for some time now and finally had enough and got on a forum

I too have the opt7 and couldn't be happier. I have the jdm fogs as well and it/they are both plenty bright. I just got high beam led's in the mail today and will install those tomorrow.
Opt7 is truly plug and play and no errors and the fogs don't need any resistors. I know this was stated in a previous post but I just wanted to second that it truly works and works well.

I debated about getting them when I got my lows, just ended up not doing it and now have other plans for an alternative high beam (aka light bar). Curious to see how they turn out. Post some pics when you get a chance if you don't mind.

Are those fogs really that bright like the actual light output?

I have some similar ones in my stock tails. 80 watt cree LEDs and they are super bright I don't see how they would light up the road much.

Yes they are that bright.. as for actual lighting of the roadway itself.. kinda. What I mean by that is, they don't light up the road in the same manner the stock halogens did because of the way the led bulbs are designed.

Dont get me wrong.. i can shut my headlights off going down the road, and it appears as if im driving with all my lights off in full moon light. I can still see just the same way. They are more like a flood light, like the outer edges of a light bar. They definitely make road signs very clear and visable to read from a distance up until your literally right under the sign. I wouldn't change them for nothing, unless of course they went out lol.

I also have white/amber switch-back turns up front that do well with lighting up the outer edges of the ditch lines due to the design of the reflective backing in the light socket itself. There's a portion of it that if you put these switch-backs in a certain way, it bounces light right to the ditches. Kinda nice imo.

With the heads, fogs and turns all lit up.. I definitely have no issues seeing anything in front of me. It is very well lit. :favorites13:

I've had em bout 3 or 4 months. No they don't heat up much at all. The fan is part of the bulb itself and everything fits inside the assembly with enough room to put the dust cover back on.

I may do this for my '14 with quads. Have you had any issues with how they are aimed or people flashing their bights at you?
