2012 Ram 1500 interior overhaul

I just bought a 2012 ram 1500 and am hoping to do an interior overhaul. I was looking to upgrade the dashboard to a more modern dashboard like the ones in the 2020 models and was wondering if anyone has any experience of where to buy them and how to install it. I also want to upgrade to CarPlay and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on that too.

Many of the OEM electronics will be compatible for a 2012. Changes occured in the 2013 refresh that will make many OEM features unattainable for a 2012. If you want Carplay, you'll need to go aftermarket.

been asked 100 times on here - if you are asking about the gauge cluster\speedo, nope - it won't work. No idea if you're only asking about the dash pad.

I "think" the dashboard and seats will bolt up but none of the associated electronics in those items (except power seat movement) will work.

Do you know if will be possible swapping the seat module control to the 2012 will help with that? Or won’t work either way

If it's just a power seat and not heated and cooled or memory, you will have no issues. Power adjustment seats are just 12v power to the seat harness.
