The trans wiring harness got destroyed on my 2012 3500 (cab and chassis) with Cummins, automatic, and 4wd.

I cannot find a replacement anywhere - they stopped making them

I've tried everywhere with no luck - any suggestions? Anyone have one for sale? is there a cross out or something that can be modified?

Part #68089382AB

Thanks

Yes and yes - multiple junk yards, big salvage companies, and ebay - nothing

Isn't the 68rfe still being used in that same vehicle today?

what does replaced by mean, is this the replacement,, shows your truck as correct fitament.

maybe not, pretty crazy they don't want to make money selling parts.

It's crazy - I have a 2012 boat anchor unless I come across a totaled vehicle that still has the right harness

I'd call some local transmission shops and dealer? That would be a hard find, one specific year happens to be in your local junk yard. Looks like 2012 was a unicorn harness. I'd keep checking ebay, guys do try and post parts like this up because they know the rareness. I am pretty sure that truck pre def would be worth a transmission upgrade, but I get it that would be a hard pill to swallow. I do think some guys out there can build this from scratch, did you save any part of it? Like connections?

good luck

If you can't find a 2012 harness perhaps subscribe to Techauthority for the wiring diagram of the 2012 and say 2011 to see if they are similar. That would then guide on ordering a harness that is close and would only require minor changes for your 2012.

Not sure if you're familiar with bale net wrap? It's kind of like nylon fishing net used to wrap hay bales so they hold together - a piece of this mesh got caught in the driveline and shredded the trans harness to pieces, so can't even find all the plugs, etc.

The old one is and gone - had bale net wrap get caught on driveline and ripped it to shreds - thanks!

As already suggested, look for a similar harness that you might be able to adapt. The 68RFE didn't really change over the years AFAIK so the basics like plugs should be the same. From the parts catalog is that it appears starting in 2013 the harness became a single piece together with the engine harness which is likely why some of the older harnesses are not available any longer. I'd take detailed pictures of the connectors that are (hopefully) left on the transmission and wire colors etc. and look in junkyards for 2012 or maybe earlier diesel trucks to compare. Or order a new harness that is still available and hope it's similar enough to be adapted. E.g.:

The part that appears available on moparpartsgiant does show unavailable on the dealer website. So be careful with online-only parts sources.

Where can you purchase the pigtails? The dealer is out of those as well when I checked today!
I need a wiring harness for my 2012 with part number 68092413AC (AA, AB, or AD will also work). Been discontinued since 2019. My husband purchased a used one, but the part number was not truly right (misrepresented) although all of the ends fit except for the connection to the transfer case. Any ideas?
