Tested and worked perfectly. Question for those who have hooked directly to the battery. I'm guessing that you cut the cigarette lighter plug off, does it matter which wire runs to the battery and to the ground?

Having a bit of a issue with my stereo. I have a pac interface running my amp. I turned the gain up on it today to better suit listening to cd's and now when you shut the door, hit the door, step hard on the running boards, it sends a power surge almost to the amp and makes the subs vibrate. I checked all connections and everything is good. I watched the amp power on as soon as I hit the step and it would vibrate the subs for about 5 secs and shut off. I'm assuming it has always done this just never noticed until I turned the gain up a little more
