Good evening guys, I recently purchased a 2012 Ram Sport with the puddle lights/turn signals on the mirrors. The passenger side works just fine, but the driver side does not; the turn signal works fine but the puddle light potion does not work. I was able to remove the glass and get the light assembly out. When I unplugged it from the harness, there was so corrosion inside that two of the three make pins broke off inside the harness connector. I purchased a new light assembly but am unable to install it since the connector is messed up. So all that being said, 1) how can I remove the old pins from the highly corroded connector? And 2) is there any way I could just buy a new pigtail and wire it in myself? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

This is the one I need; of course it's unavailable. Looks like I'll be searching through some junk yards!

So a little update. By some crazy luck I was able to find an entire driver side mirror harness on that auction site and bought it. I ordered a new puddle light assembly from chrysler and cut and spliced the new connector onto my harness. Now I have two working puddle lights. :waytogo:

Where did you buy the puddle light? Is it more or a white/yellow or a blue tint? One of mine has been replaced and they do not match. I am assuming the blueish color one is the new one?

Yeah, mine is the same way.
Doesn't really bother me. I want to put some aftermarket LEDs in there someday.

Im trying not to let it bother me. I know people probably dont realize they are different but me knowing is enough. The yellow light has much better output than the blue but I would just want them to match at this point.

I understand. It would bother more if they stayed on at night. Then it would look silly but I know how you feel.

I agree they don't shine that much light. That's why I want to install some aftermarket LEDs in there.

I just replaced my tow mirrors on my 2012 1500 the passenger side puddle worked but the turn signal did not. The driver side didn’t work at all . I bought both sides and after taking out the old ones I noticed that the white block harness has only two wires in it and the old ones I removed had seven wires in it ? I’m assuming I got the wrong ones maybe ?
