So a month or so ago, my service tpms system came on in the evic. The drivers rear was not reading any pressure. Being its a 2013 I figured its about time to replace them anyways so I bought a set of 4 OEM Schrader sensors. I had the tire shop install the sensors on my OEM wheels. The passenger side rear wheel then began failing to read pressure. Next thought.. must be a bad module. Bought a new module (same part number) and installed it. Drove the truck for a a week or so. Both rears would not register. I had appointment at dealer to do two recalls so I advised them about it while it was there. They were able to get the rears activated and the warning lights went out when I picked up the truck. On the way home, both rears again failed to sense pressure. Now, intermittently one or the other rear sensor will work, then suddenly quit working. The other day, all 4 were working, then the rears went out again.

Any suggestions on this one? Replacing the module and all 4 sensors did not seem to solve the issue of the rears not reading. Fronts read fine with no issues...

Thanks in advance

1st thing I'd do is swap the tires front to back and see if the problem moves with the tires.

The new sensors you bought were MOPAR OEM ones??? I had some OEM "replacement" ones installed at a Discount Tire and I had problems with them... they would randomly quit working, especially on long drives. I went to the dealership and they replacement them with MOPAR ones and haven't had a problem since. The dealership told me that they've had quite a few issues with aftermarket sensors not working properly with the TPMS.

+1. If it moves with the tires, then I'd return the two sensors for replacements if they let you. If it moves with the tires, and you've replaced the module (make sure and tell them you already tried that with the same result), then they shouldn't be able to blame you/your truck/something else. If they have decent customer service, they will swap the broken ones.

Last evening I swapped the wheels, back to front, front to back. I reset the sensors with my Autel TPMS tool and assigned them to the proper location. All wheels were reading at that point before I left. 2 miles into my trip.. ding ding.. TPMS warning light goes off and both rears were not reading. SO I have pretty much ruled out the sensors because the problem didnt follow the wheel location. Ive already replaced the TPMS module behind the front bumper and that didnt fix the issue. Pretty sure there is only one module. I guess it will be a trip to the dealer again..

There is just 1 module and 4 sensors so I'm thinking you have a loose, dirty or damaged connector somewhere given that the dealer has activated the replaced tpm module and it does work intermittently.

I had a similar issue on my 13Ram1500 about 3 years ago that was finally traced back to an aftermarket (front) camera I had installed that was creating interference with the tpms system.( Might have been picking up/amplifying the electric radiator motor noise?)

Removing/replacing it with a different one fixed my issue. I was using OEM Mopar tpms sensors with the correct frequency. Double check yours since there are 2 freq's offered under the same PN.

Very interesting. I am running a customtronix rax front emblem camera that I had just replaced. They sent me a new one with updated harness. This problem started right after I put in the new camera. Maybe re routing the camera wire huh?

Kill power to the camera and recheck then.

Could try foil wrapping and then taping up the wire as a make shift shielding and see if that fixes it. Or just unhooking the camera harness and see if that is the problem.

As it turns out, I disconnected the cam and TPMS worked just fine. So i ran the cable up the passenger side and everything cleared up. Thanks for the help on this one!!
