Today after returning from lunch when I hit my key fob to set the alarm i noticed the chime was not as loud as normal. I even hit the key a few times but thought maybe the battery was low (not sure why it would be). But then after work when I started the truck it was very sluggish and didn't think it was going to start but it did. I immediately drove to an Autozone to have the battery checked. The service tech said the battery was reading very very low, like 0 low. I then tried to start the truck and "nothing happened" the lights and everything came on, but it just wouldn't try to start. I proceeded to buy a new $220 battery and after the install the same thing, All lights and bells worked, just nothing when trying to start the engine. Any ideas?

So you battery was low and now it's not, but you have an issue you say truck wont start but it drives? So you needed that battery that is now a separate issue and solved. Two main issues, your starter motor can be going out or win module can be carbonized and in need of cleaning or replacement. I'd try and upload a YouTube at what is going on, see if we can rule out one or the other, or possibly something else. In KY it us humid? Long term exposure to Humidity is a indicator of potential win module if that is the case.
