Just got a 2014 Laramie with the 5.7, and definitely want some exhaust and a tune.

The exhaust could even be simply just changing the muffler. All I am looking for is a good performance sound, and I do not want to take out the cats, resonators, etc. Not looking for performance or new tips etc, JUST sound. Trying to go cheap, but would like a replacement Flowmaster muffler, or something similar. Also, I don't want to lose back pressure.

As for the tune, I haven't seen much for the 2014, but would like something that gives a solid power increase, crisp shifting, and is 100% safe to drive everyday and tow with. This is a brand new truck, and I will need something I can take on and off so I don't void the warranty. I had previously worked with 5startuning on my old Ecoboost, and am familiar with the SCT devices.

Ideas, links, and videos appreciated.

I put an MBRP cat back on my 2014. It sounds awesome IMO! It doesn't drone, gives a nice hum while driving at highway speeds, and sounds mean as hell when you get on it!

As for the tuner...you will lose warranty with it. There is a second odo. In the trucks computer that stops recording when you install a tune. I have a Diablo trinity t-1000 with a Hemifever Tune. It's amazing, safe (as a tune can be), and towing with it is no issue! It makes a big difference. I have it paired with a catch can (a must have if you're running a tuner. I wouldn't get a tuner without one) and an S&B CAI. Here's my exhaust:

Most of the guys on here like 14" (louder) or 18" (mellower) Magnaflows. MBRP is also popular. Not many Flowmaster fans. I've only had the Magnaflow, the sound is great.

Diablosport tuners with the Hemifever tunes can't be beat for the price and customer service (Sean/Hemifever is great to work with).

Agree with the CAI and catch can. Moe's ported throttle body will give you a little extra power with the tuner.

I really liked the Aero Turbine muffler I had on mine. Using that one and keeping the resonators gave it a really nice, deep sound.
I have long tube headers and full duals on it now and hate the sound of the new mufflers. I'm currently looking for new ones.

I personally like flowmasters, always have. I run a cat back american thunder. Its not overly loud, but it has a nice sound to it. I always figure if I wanted to go more aggressive Id get a magnaflow muffer and make some mode and just switch it out for the flowmaster muffer.

I just put on a FlowMaster Super 10 muffler and then added 5" MBRP straight cut exhaust tips and man oh man does it sound amazing now!!! and since the muffler is only $60.00 it's such a cheap upgrade i would definitely do it!

You can hear my truck coming....in a low rumble like a tank going into battle from blocks away now and wow....what a head turner!

The MBRP tips...well they are simply for looks but damn...do they look good!

Easy for a shop to install...even though the stock pipes are only 2.25"...the stock exhaust tips are 4" so the MBRP fit right over them easily. I just had the shop cut back the pipes so the stock tips were in far enough and then put the MBRP right on top of them. It looks and sounds incredible!!!

btw..I'll be installing my K&N 71 BlackHawk cold air intake tomorrow....which I'm told will improve the sound even more while adding more HP and better fuel economy (I hope)
