Ok peeps I got from two great sources that on the 14s the efAn is the same size as the v6 efAn so don't waste your money! I removed my clutch fan ended up using my air hammer to get off (very easy) and poped out the bottom of the shroud and very easy. Have your tuner set your efAn temps mine come on at 195 and turn off at 185 degrees. Works like a charm!!! Oem quality already there. And the factory shrould is fine. image.jpg

Probably wont have issues being in NC but here in Vegas that shroud is definitely needed w/ the efan.

Doz I hear what your saying but I've been told there guys in Texas doing this! There summers 100degrees plus there with no problems. I'll find out this summer for sure myself but looking at the stock efAn and shrould I don't see it being a issue. I ran the truck some and its pulls the temp down very quick.

That's a good idea jay!! I would think that someone like ( billet technology) would make a nice piece that screw on there.

I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Even at a stupid price too - I hate the way the threads look.

The fans are not the same size. The v6 is 21.5 in I believe and stock is 19. Did this swap on my 14 the other day. Rode the factory fan for a few days and it did fine. I just like the look of the v6 fan and it hold the rad hose up. You could get away with the stock efan but he'll with it.

Which v6 fan did you put on your 2014? The AC condenser plug is completely different on the 2014 and will not line up with what is on the v6 fans we have been using for years. The only way we have found to do this is to swap the stock fan and motor over to the V6 shroud.

It was the v6 fans we were using on the 09-12s. I didn't know there was a difference with the new ram until I actually got it and installed it. Bolted right in place. The harness on the fan is too short to reach the factory harness so I Unbolted it from the efan and just let it hang there, it has what I'm guessing is a thermostat on it attached to it. The plug was hard to get together, it took some extra force to get it together but they are not different at all. Other than than not a single problem, comes on a 190 cools down to 185 and all is well.

It's plug and play only if you have a tuner to adjust you fan settings.

I have to see if Ram made any changes mid year on the 2014's then. All the 2014's I've seen have the shorter harness, but the fan plug itself was different on 3 2014 trucks I have worked on here. I even ordered a 2014 V6 fan to try, and it was different as well.

We have just been removing the clutch fan and keeping the stock AC fan in place without any problems yet. This only applies to the 2014 models. The 2013 wiring harness still lines up using the same older V6 fan without any issues.

That's weird. I'll get some pics and send em to you. The plugs were the same and prongs lined up just was really hard to push together. I rode a while on the stock efan and did just fine also.
