Not sure this is gonna happen. #1 I'm not feeling the love with the price, and #2 I'm not totally in love with these trucks, as much as I loved my 2011 I'm just not getting that warm and fuzzy feeling inside. I want chrome bumpers dammit!
So what happened?Today is the day. Sales guy is supposed to call me with final #'s on the 2 trucks I'm interested in.
I want a silver Big Horn or the Blackout Express. My only major demands for either are Hemi/4x4/8spd/392's. Both trucks are optioned fairly well to begin with so I'm not to picky about the other stuff.
So if I get the right #'s I might just do it. If not, new motor for the '02!
So what happened?
Made a deal for a blackout express. Just waiting for paper work and crap to be processed, however I am butting heads with them over a few issues that could possibly kill the deal. I've been hearing they'll "have an answer tomorrow" since last week.
What's hanging it up? Trade in value? Sticker price?
You might consider leasing. My $48,000 truck is costing me $288/mo for 3 years with 15,000 miles a year included. Helluva deal.
Ha ha, basically all of the above. No really, after we made the initial deal on the sale price I then wanted to go further to bring the monthly down and haggle the trade value up. So there is back and forth on that and then the rate was magically inflated and also pushing extras on me like extended warranty, vin etch, etc...just standard dealer nonsense. However I did tell them up front about not pulling this crap on me and they did it anyway. I got my poker face on now. Give me a few bucks more on the trade (which I know is not unreasonable) and quit padding the rate to basically make me pay them for my trade on the back end.
