a year ago I had to replace my camshaft,rods,lifters, and also did the mds delete

I am pretty sure I just spun a bearing

my question is I got a quote to rebuild my motor completely and install with a 8 month warranty for $3800 is that a cheap price? I thought it was going to be a lot more then that

You should upload a video of it running? how many miles are on your truck? Also 3800 is not bad at all whos doing it? I would make sure its a full rebuild and not a backyard style rebuild lol.

it has 245,000 on it and from what they are telling me is it is a complete rebuild to 0 miles its a shop in Houston about a hour from me

with that many miles i can imagine the cylinders will need to be bored heads rebuilt with new valves and guides ECT to be correctly 100% rebuilt. I would double check the details since you have a really high mileage engine. Another thing to think about is the transmission is for sure right behind it if its never been swapped out yet.
