Got Amazon traction boards, Not Maxtrax but i won't complaint for $94 for all 4 and the 37's will fit in them :)

I keep going around and around in my head on picking up some boards or not. Do they stack together well for storage? How thick are they when all stacked together?

They seem to stack well, all 4 together measure 7" or so.

Thanks, that's not crazy thick. That price is really good. I don't think I want to mount boards in the bed though, that's my hold up. A shovel is still my primary recovery tool, but having another option before getting out the snatch strap and asking for help would be nice. I'm leaning towards the roll up traction mat kind, that I can just throw in the cab or bed before heading out in the snow/dirt - likely not the greatest solution but something to try.

I havent decided yet where ill put them yet. They come with carrying bags so maybe ill use that and just toss them inside the bed. Easy in easy out :) i guess anything you pick will be better than having nothing at all. Ive never had the need for these things myself and i have a bag with tow straps, snatch straps, tree savers, schackles and other misc i also carry as well and have used to get myself and others out of a pinch. I dont have a winch yet this time but having recovey gear is always a good thing.

Better to have it and not need It! Those are pretty trick looking for the cost. There's a few videos from Australians that use these things like everyday and the cheap ones seem to hold up well enough for weekend uses and emergency.

Exactly the reason i went with this set of cheapy ones. They won't be better than MaxTrax for sure but in this instance i wasn't looking for the very best, but the cheapest that can do the work :)

There seems to be a bunch of vendors offering the same stuff with diff brands so i pick these ones. I won't complaint for less than $100, and they seem to be sturdy just like the video above they seem to be exactly the same thing.

I used the plastic cover above the parking brake handle thingy. I don't know if the upper trims have anything in there but mine didn't. i drilled 3 pilot holes so i have room for one more switch.

Just pop the cover off and drill a small 1/2" hole, then use these rocker switches for example.

There are different ways to do it that would look a lot more elegant.

Have the Barricade bumper in sight again. They shaved 1$ more off compared to the last time so they gave me a final offer with $50 discount, Lol.

The decision should be easy considering there are no other offers similar in price. I looked at the Fab Four bumper Red which is even cheaper, but the design on the Barricade appears better for me visually, must be because i can't find a picture with the actual Fab Four bumper mounted on a RAM 1500.

Most of the bumper manufacturers I've seen seem to think Ram 1500s need a Jay Leno chin up front for some reason. The ADD Stealth Winch looks clean but damn $$$.

Not sure what the barricade costs but maybe these guys would work with ya. It's a bit costly, but caught my eye and customer pics look good.

And they don't seem to run any specials on that one either :)
