So i decided to swap a 2015 laramie 1500 dash into my 2014 ram 1500 express. It went ok except i didnt realize the laramie was a knobe shift and mine was a column shift. I was able to get around that with unpinning the pins and rewiring them into the harness. My problem now is that i cant get a oem brake controler to work with the harness. They changed the harness in 2015, so i tried to use a 2015 tow module with no luck. Yes its already all programed with a alfa obd2. I am thinking it wont communicate with my 2014 body control module. Any thought? I have been trying to find a 2014 ram 1500 dash wiring harness with column shift, dual climate control and the 8.4 screen with no luck

I ran into that with my conversion from 2014 SLT to 2018 Laramie dash. The harness for the tow module was different, and I just reworked the wiring on the 2018 to match the 2014 tow module. (had to replace the fuse, cause it popped when I plugged in the 2018 module.

How far exactly did you have to go with wiring bc i just installed a 2013 laramie harness with same wiring and still wont work and key gets stuck in ignition. I got around that with some wiring but the brake control module wont work. Does it have anything to do with the amp. Bc without my amp plugged in the abs light and air bag light comes on. So they must have passed a bunch of connections through the amp for some reason. Any help would be appreciated.

Update i figured it out, came down to it wasnt the harness swap at all. I downloaded all data to get wiring diagrams, and traced it back to the air suspension fuse f87. Its all tied into the brake controll module. Everything is working as should now.
