Hello, I am hoping a knowledgeable individual can help me fix this problem with my truck. I have a single owner (myself) 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie C/C 4x4 3.92 8-speed 5.7L. I have had zero issues this entire ownership, however, my truck recently completely shut off while I was idling in drive within a parking lot. I had only stopped for a few seconds while I passed food around to my kids. That's it. I had to have a tow truck haul my truck home and it has been in the driveway since. Has power in the dash display but wont start or crank. I looked under the hood and I don't see anything obvious. The fuses look good, wires look relatively clean and free of corrosion. Battery tests good too. My brother-in-law has one of those OBD code readers showing a "U0100" code:
Per Google, "The generic OBD trouble code U0100 is a serious situation where the signals between the electronic control module (ECM) or the powertrain control module (PCM) and a particular module have been lost. There could also be a problem with the CAN bus wiring disrupting communications."
Thanks. pic for attention
