What's good RF! I haven't been around in some time, all is well in life minus some truck repairs. I was doing some spirited driving and a curb stuck out etc etc. I have a brand new 37" Mickey Thompson, the alignment shop at Big o says my rack has skipped some teeth. But they aligned it best they could. Let me get a pic for that alignment (I'm not informed with numbers but enjoy learning from everyone and their forums). I shook as vigorously as I could and all seems in tact with the steering rack. The knuckle I did take a measure and the non impacted side is around 2.25 inches whereas I'm at 1.75 from knuckle to inside tire tread.
I'm on RA in the cart with some
mevotech ttx lower control arm (lca) (bj include)
Ttx upper control arm (ball joint included)
Ultra power steering Knuckle (yay nay? Didn't want to drop that$ for Mopar stuff)
Mevotech inner tie rods (2) might as well do both sides
Mevotech ttx outer tie rods (2)
My setup is 6" BDS with bil5100 in front fox 2.0 rear, 37s,
The new tire that's shot, I had to get to work over the hill on 17 for a few weeks.. maybe 30 miles a day... All the corners I could hear it screaming away. Let's do it the right way. Maybe in the future I'll beef up again or go with a solid. But as a daily driver, I enjoy watching the tires bounce in the rearview mirror and I feel nothing.
I couldn't tell if my lca was bent up or not. The outer tie rod did seem a little beat up. Want to be safe and just get the side fixed and back to the alignment shop.
