It sucks you have all those issues. I can't say I shared the same fate with mine before I deleted it. You should probably sell it if you are having that much problems with it and the maintenance of it.
I'm wondering if it didn't sit on the lot for a while before I purchased it and condensation formed in the def tank. Most of the codes I've had turn up are P20EE and after the first 3 times I topped off the DEF. I also have seen 2x a code about using too much def or something like that, I forget the code. 1x I had service DEF system pop up on the display after topping off. Def out of spec. I called the nearest dealer and told him the code and that I had just topped off. He told me to clear it and see if it comes back. If I took it in he would test it, it would come back out of range and then I'd have to pay for the drain and replacement ~$400. Said when filling the def they often see it will stir up the contents and throw an out of range code.
That was last fall. I ran it almost empty and I have filled it since and didn't get a code. Fingers crossed.
My poor buddy with is duramax has had his in the shop 3x. Replaced a sensor, replaced the DPF, and now the cat. 8600 miles.
