After driving this truck a month I'm starting to miss the power of my cummins. What can I do to wake this truck up?
Out of the hole take off not to bad but it seems to run out of breath past 4000 rpms. Truck is totally bone stock right now..

More air will help,
A turbo would improve the breathing. Short of that, air intake and exhaust.
The Torque from the diesel is a big loss that is hard to overcome.

how many miles?
Might be time for a set of plugs, fuel filter as well as the air filter.
Worst case a bottle of poor mans tuneup (Injector/Fuel system cleaner of your choice)

I'll second some sort of forced induction whether it's a turbo or a supercharger.
Keep in mind the CTD makes more torque just off idle than the stock 6.4 peaks out and the CTD makes twice the amount torque at a quarter of the rpms.

Honestly you are kind of in a pickle. You are never going to match the feel and power of the cummins. You may match the HP numbers etc on paper but it isn't going to "feel" the same.

Question is, Can you live with it like it is? Do you dump a bunch of money into it and take the chance you are still not happy? Or do you bite the bullet and trade it in on a diesel? That's kind of your options.

If you put a supercharger or the like on it and still aren't happy you are going to be out a lot of money and (in my opinion) killed some of the re-sale value of it if you decide to dump it. Yes you might find someone looking for a modded truck but most people run far away from them.

I was in a similar situation a few years back. I went from a cummins to a gas HD. I tried to convince myself I would like it and it would work for me etc. but in the end I was just hating my decision and it was making me miserable with my purchase. I know a lot of people love and are fine with the gas HD and that is great but I was not.

After about 11 months I finally traded it in on another Deisel. Yes I took a loss but in the end I was much happier, my wife was much happier that I wasn't ******** about it, everybody was better off in the end. Expensive lesson learned for me on what I like/need.

Dangit mtnrider! Quit making sense. LoL I know it'll never match my cummins.
Truck just feels chocked after 4k where my 13 5.7 my son drives feels like it's just gettin ready to go.
Lookin for exhaust. Intake I've always just kept a fresh filter instead. Not sure what tuner to use.

As an owner of 2015 Ram 2500 mega cab 6.4. I can honestly say you really need to evaluate your actual needs and not wants when evaluating the gas and Diesel. I have driven both but only owned the hemi so far. When I upgrade to my next RV trailer I will.make the move. Some day I will need the diesel for pulling a 5th wheel. But my Hemi pulls my 10.000 Lb trailer just fine. The weak link about any gas is pulling up steep grades in the mountain areas. I live in PA so there are a lot of mountains. I upgraded my exhaust system to the magnaflow kit for the truck and I have noticed a difference in pulling with this upgrade. The stock muffler is Soo restricted that it really hurts the performance under heavy towing. I get a solid 8 mpg pulling this trailer at 60 to 65 MPH and between 55 and 60 MPH in the mountains. When I tow my trailer with my buddies 6.7 Cummins in the same conditions I am getting a solid 10 mpg. The diesel does pull the hills with little effort but you pay 10 to 12 grand more for that type of performance, Something I was not willing to do at the time of purchase. Let's face it we are not in any race when towing thia kind of weight so don't beat yourself up and enjoy the truck you have. Be safe and enjoy the ride.
