2017 radio swap

Hello guys and gals. I know that I can change my basic (no Bluetooth) radio to a higher unit. My local dealer is telling me I can NOT do so. They say the harness for the mic and the rear view mirror will not work on my truck. They are telling me that my only choice for bluetooth is a mopar unit that they want 600 for. I believe they are being dishonest. I just wanted a quote to have them flash the truck if I made the swap.

It will work. All plug and play no flash needed unless you add the factory backup camera. Good detailed instructions in the diy section.

Which higher unit? The 5.0 or 8.4? They are right about the uconnect mirror not working. For the 2017s the mics we're moved from the mirror to the headliner. Therefore the wires moved from the passenger side grey plug to the driver's side green plug. To use the uconnect mirror you will need to reroute the wires over to the grey plug. Once the wires are moved then you just get the header harness and mirror, and plug them in.
