I bought a certified used 2018 1500 3 years ago with 30,000 miles. When I fueled it the gas pump nozzle got stuck in the fueling tube and I broke the tube getting the nozzle out. A dealer replaced the fueling tube with a different type free of charge.
2 months ago I could not fuel my truck without the fueling pump shutting off continually it would take me 10 minutes to fill the tank. I went to another dealer, got an inspection, and they said I had to replace the fuel tank. That has fixed the problem and even though the truck was 5 years old and I had 43,000 miles on it. The total job, plus initial inspection, was covered under the 7 year emissions warranty.
These problem were a pain in the ass but at least they were covered. No I did not have an extended warranty.
