I have a new 2018 Ram 1500 Limited. I have noticed that once it has sat for 3 hours or more, when I get in and step on the brake pedal, it is rock fricking hard. Once it starts up it charges the vacuum back up and it operates normally. Obviously, something is not right. It's a hard pedal like the truck has been parked for a month.

Has anyone else experienced this?
What can I expect for the truck to hold it's vacuum for? Is there a time parameter somewhere for this?

I took it in to have it checked and they told me there's nothing wrong with it, they couldn't hear a hissing or detect a leak.. I told them that it's either the grommet, the check valve or the booster diaphram but they told me that they aren't going to throw parts at it unless it's needed.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does your vacuum charge hold overnight?
My previous truck was a 2013 Ram Sport and it never had this problem.

Both my 2015 and 2017 Rams did the same thing for the first couple thousand miles or so and then it never happened again after that with either. I don’t recall the reason for it but probably has something to do with the brake system breaking in( no pun intended) be patient I’m sure it will stop after you get some miles on her.
