Yeow! Makes me cringe even thinking about that magnet sucking to the truck and dragging down the side of it.
It would certainly find the filler spots though.

No magnets stick to the bed of a new F 150
But that Aluminum tears like toilet paper, if any heavier weight is put in the bed & that area is not braced in some way.
I saw an F 150 with a roll away tool box in it
The driver took a corner & the whole side panel tore open

The frame was not bent, it was not wrecked. The bed needed to be aligned and it’s just like new.

I was going to comment I had a new truck I bought in 2016 and the bed was not aligned properly. Dealer told me they wouldn’t mess with it as it was in tolerance per mopar. I got lucky? And had a lady back into my bumper in a parking lot and when they did the estimate I told them it looked like the bed got shifted and a body shop realigned it when they replaced my bumper. Glad that’s all yours needed
