I did not notice till I had 1000 miles on it.

Then again that was the first time I drove curvy mountain roads.

I just bought my 2019 Ram Longhorn as a demo with 1500 miles on it. I had this problem on the first drive. Originally, I thought it was lane assist fighting me, so I disabled it and problem persisted. Just like everyone says, it happens at highway speeds in sweeping turns when steering wheel is turned to 10:00 or 2:00 positions. The resistance is strongest when turning left, but is noticeable turning to the right. It feels like there is a bad spot on pinion gear in the steering rack...makes sense as the problem happens in same spot going both directions. Disappointing to say the least. If anyone makes progress with repair, please keep me posted.

My 2019 ram 1500 4 x 4 bighorn build date of 07/18 had the same issue, The steering would stick when making a shallow left hand turn, I took it to the dealer and they couldn't get it to happen, so they cleaned and tightened the ground cable.
When I left the dealer the sticking continued to happed, the steering would not return to center on its own for several seconds are until I turned it back to center,
I wound up recording it on my iphone and gave the 3 videos to the service manager, along with showing him some post from the other ram forum about replacing the steering rack,.
My dealer replaced the steering rack and now the problem is fixed.

Same problem here. Has done it since day 1. Is the fix a new steering rack?

I was able to get my steering rack replaced with Ram Care’s assistance and I can confirm it fixes this issue!

I saw somewhere this is a STAR # CASE for this issue.
I took mine to my dealer, on the drive he "felt it" and said it
felt to him like the power assist was cutting out for a second. I don't think that is the issue but see what he means. So far they have not offered a fix for me.

Anyone that may have a STAR # for this please share it!!!

I want to say there was one notice about a loose or missing ground for the electric steering, and possibly another one that leads to complete replacement of the rack.

There are a few threads on 5thgenrams forum about it.
