What do you guys think about the MPG of the new 1500? I'm puzzled as to how they cut the coefficient of drag, dropped over 200lbs and still get the same EPA as the 'old' truck did. Now I'm averaging close to 20 which is damn impressive to me in my world. I used to maybe get 2 better (at best) with my V6 durango in the same environment. The size difference is dramatic between the durango and the new 1500 (I was surprised at how big of a difference when they were side by side before I traded)
Did they improve the response to the point that it negated the fuel economy gains? I haven't driven the 'old' truck enough to speak to the differences in drive train response/feel.
I should add that I live in WV so the hills are....everywhere. I could see getting 22 with a light foot on flat ground in mixed driving, mostly hwy.
