I’m doing rear brakes on my 2018 2500, and am having an issue getting the rear rotors installed over the new parking brake shoes.

Getting the old rotors off was a PITA due to rust build up. I replaced the parking brake shoes, springs, and adjusters. My parking brake is not on, the levers confirm that so they aren’t stuck engaged, and even with the adjuster turned all the way in I can’t get the new rotors over the parking brake shoes without fairly significant force. This is the same on both the drivers and passenger side. I was able to wiggle the drivers side on but now it’s stuck on due to the parking brake shoe friction. The passenger side isn’t cooperating at all.

Everything appears to be installed correctly. Is there some common cause/issue that I’m completely missing here? Thanks in advance.

did you loosen up the parking brake cable?

Had that same problem on my F150 and loosening cables answered the problem.
