My 2021 Hemi is getting a new cam, phasers, and lifters at 49k miles. Lucky for me the warranty hadn't run out yet. Everyone is telling me to tuck tail and sprint away from this truck the second it is out of the shop. Should I be genuinely worried about the rest of the engine going to crap, or is getting the top end done going to be enough to keep this thing running for years to come? Love the truck and my wallet would feel much better if I didn't have to go find a replacement in this crazy truck market.

Edit: my apologies I noticed too late that I posted in the 4th gen forum instead of the 5th

Not necessarily. My 2015 RAM had the cam and lifters replaced at 32K under warranty and is sitting at a tick over 150K miles now and nary a problem since. I will say that it hasn’t had anything but 5W-30 ran in it since. Maybe look into a factory extended warranty if it makes you feel better but personally I wouldn’t sweat it.
