I'd really stay away from the 2025s. You never want to buy a new design in its first year. Let the corporate and rental fleets get all the bugs sorted out.

The F-150 with the 5.0 Coyote is pretty much bulletproof.

Nissan is offering 0% financing on remaining Titans. That is a tried and true reliable design too.

There is no perfect truck. Any brand has the potential for problems. Which is why I generally buy new to take advantage of the warranty. Our non-etorque Limited has been a great truck for almost five years now. We did have an issue with the rear window leak which took out the RF hub, but that's been addressed and the cab remains dry (knock on wood).

I think the worst thing you can do when shopping for a new vehicle is going to forums, for the reasons I mentioned in my previous post. Definitely research any vehicle you are interested in using websites which specialize in reviewing new vehicles. But it's too easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole in forums, and it sounds like that's happened with you.

DAT ole pesky rabbit get you everytime on forums. You need to look at all sides and make informed decision. As said, reviews, and literature and also forums, which will give you a good idea on what to look for and be aware of.

I too had the rear window issue addressed by TSB. I had a lil bit of intrusion headliner, and both sides of my interior slider frame was cracked, but whole assembly was replaced under TSB. Heck, they even came to my house and did the replacement.

OP, if U jump for E Torque equipped, the most important thing U can do in my opinion is keep an eye for any issues ref rear window/chmsl/rear area as the RF hub is back there mounted on wall and you also have the 48V battery back there that does not mix well with liquids. Something to be aware of. Notice pic of backwall showing the Cab vents and the RF hub mounted a bit lower between the cab vents. SO anyone who has a n ewer RAM needs to be aware, not panicked. Posted PIC so PPL know what is there. NOW I have non- E TQ truck, so U see no 48V battery there, which would be behind drivers side.

Just did some RR on the 5.0 Coyote and did not like what I read.
Ford is my LAST option - very LAST

Leaning towards a used 20k miles 2021 1500 Hemi non-etorque

i was all ready to buy a New 2024 Hemi e-torque until I read about the problems.

There isn't a single Titan left locally. My neighbor did get one about 4 months ago, as he wanted the added safety features that his 2024 RAM did not have.

There are a couple in my area and it has been tempting. My wife had an '08 Titan out to 150k miles and the only thing we did other than regular maintenance was replace the starter at 125k. Good truck and hands down a more comfortable ride than the Ram.

The only thing holding me back is price, the ones which remain are optioned to the gills and we don't need all of that stuff. Given that we only get appreciable snow here every five-ish years I'm not even big on getting 4wd. Why pay for a system that won't be used?

I only saw (1) that was anywhere close, limited like 1794, not need all that. The only plus is NA motor and no MDS junk. But My 19 has 4WD which I need, (Hoss/hay/trailer/fields), and everything works and paid off. Tempting though I agree.

Update. The dealer granted the goodwill warranty and is going to cover the entire repair and rental. They still do not have an ETA on the MGU. At least I do have a vehicle. I am frustrated that the part is back ordered. That being said at least they are doing the right thing.

Update 2. Still don't have my truck. The part delivery date kept getting pushed every 2 weeks. Last date was the 23rd. I texted the service advisor (text is only way to get a response), and he said
"I honestly have no idea. There are now 5000 orders waiting for a very limited supply and there's no way for me to know where you land in that."
To say this is frustrating is an understatement. Does anyone think I have a chance at getting the dealer to buy it back from me as is? I really need it. I'm in construction and a truck is kind of a must.

Update 3. I got my truck back! Very excited to get the call. Less excited when I got in it and the CEL and low tire pressure warning was on. I am guessing the tech was having a bad day. Even a noob mechanic knows not to give a vehicle back with the CEL still shining. Turns out the tire needed air, probably from sitting for 3 months, and the error code just needed to be cleared. Drove it most of the day yesterday and did not have any problems. I did notice the voltage continued to drop through out the day. I'm wondering if I need to change the 12V battery since it was drained completely, then sat for 3 months and it's the original and 2 years old. For now glad to have it back

I'd get that battery on a charger/maintainer asap. After a low current charge rate for 24 hours or more, run a load test using a toaster-style battery load tester like this $20 unit from HarbourFreight.

I'd get that battery on a charger/maintainer asap. After a low current charge rate for 24 hours or more, run a load test using a toaster-style battery load tester like this $20 unit from HarbourFreight.

The toaster-style battery load tester is a great item to have in your shop or toolbox.
Don't let any fast-talker try to convince you a free digital test is better, they're known to present false positives for flakey cells.

Toaster said the battery was on the strong side of weak. So I replaced with a good battery since it 2yeas old and original. Thanks again for advice. Great in expensive tool.

I think you made a prudent choice.

Heat is one of the number one killers of batteries and in your area, 2-3 years is likely the typical life expectancy of most. Deep discharging of any battery is also very bad.

There's no benefit to procrastinating at changing a battery that is past due.

Although it's an inexpensive $20 tester, treating it with care, will last forever and pay dividends with reliable testing. How often do you hear a friend or family member say, "I think my battery might be dying"? Now you own a definitive tester.

I've had a couple of them for over 35 years and they're still as reliable as day 1.

No I'm out of warranty. Sorry for delay crazy week. I have been in FL for 15 years now. Batteries do not do well here. Not just in cars either. Thanks again!

My 2025 Rebel with over 7K miles on it is very nice and the 3.0L Hurricane runs way better than any of the 5.7's I had before.
I had a 2021 Scat Pack Challenger and the 3.0L S/O feels a little less powerful than the 392 but way ahead of my 2023 Laramie 5.7 e-torque.
The 5.7 sounded better but I did not like the 5.7 e-torque low speed lurching like when in crawling traffic or pulling into the garage.
