Do you mean delivery from the dealer to the customer ? or from the plant to the dealer? Can someone explain why the actual delivery takes so long?
Ive got 4.25 for 5 years but if you want to do 7 or 8 thats where I start seeing the 7%. I miss the zero % days4.25% is a really good rate for the current climate. On Reddit people were reporting rates as high as 7% for great credit on new cars.
I was referring to plant to dealer. Im in the Cincinnati area and I believe, but am not 100% sure, that my truck is coming from Michigan. Thanks for the reply.Do you mean delivery from the dealer to the customer ? or from the plant to the dealer?
Dealer to customer there could be a 1-3 day delay depending on their process. Check in of truck, check truck for damage and operability, remove protective film, contact customer, set up financing etc.
Plant to the dealer is mostly shipping logistics - The plant doesn't really want any vehicles hanging around their log, so it's in their best interest to get it out. Usually shipped by rail car. So trains have to be available. Then from nearest rail yard to final destination on trucks. Weather conditions play a major part in the logistic chain. The Trucks come from Michigan or Mexico. If coming from Mexico, there could be a few delays at customs as well.
On the Ram Trucks wiki page, if you scroll down to production, 1500 series are built in MichiganI was referring to plant to dealer. Im in the Cincinnati area and I believe, but am not 100% sure, that my truck is coming from Michigan. Thanks for the reply.
If you truck is an HD with CTD they come from MX, they were behind on builds due to parts shortage & train car shortage, they also had a sales hold on all trucks with 68 RFE auto trans until just a few weeks ago, so even if you were to order another new truck based on what I have read you can expect it to take a good 6 months before it arrives..Nice you guys are getting 2023’s already. Maybe I should just cancel my deal and order a ‘23. Still haven’t received my ‘22 Longhorn I ordered back on August 5th.
That’s awesome!
Ordered when?I just looked and they have started production of my truck!! With an estimated delivery date of 22 Feb.
That is crazy that they will not tell you any thing, once my truck crossed the MX/USA border my dealer was able to tell me where my truck was located within the past 12 hours on the rail system, my truck spent 6 weeks on the rail lines & 3 weeks sitting in the rail yard waiting to be unloaded, I called my sales person about every 10 days to see where it was and they had no problems telling me its last location.O6 Dodge, getting a 1500. From Sterling Heights. I’m in PA. Still no truck.
Did contact Ramcares, and their answer was I needed to wait 60 days from the shipping date, which was November 21st., before they will open a case for me. Seems pretty unreasonable to me to be waiting so long, especially since people are taking delivery of ‘23s now.
