Today had to replace my 22Ram 2500 18,000 miles wipers!
Blade separated from main body both driver and passenger side and no I didn't ripe it away from a frozen windshield......soooo cheap.
Wonder if the warranty covers it.

You guys must use your wipers WAY more than I use mine. I am pretty meticulous about maintenance and care of my vehicles, as you can tell by the condition of the vehicles I have owned for 30 years and 180,000 miles. That said, Jeep is 5 years old, same wipers, pickup 4 years old, same wipers, second pickup 30 years old, I think it may be the 3rd set, and the car is 10 years old same wipers. Now, everything gets parked indoors so maybe that is part of it, but the OEM wipers seem to last a REALLY long time. I buy OEM replacements if I ever need a new set.

My windshields has about 15 different rock chips with 1 long crack and everywhere I park seems to have the front pointed south. When a wiper blade starts streaking and a simple clean of the rubber and glass doesn’t fix it, a new one goes on. It’s about $16 in wiper blades per year. Pretty sure I can handle this financial setback. I’ll replace the windshield when I get a chip or crack directly in my sight line… or the cops tell me to…

It's a 3 year old truck and you're just now replacing the wipers? What did you expect?

They're a wear item. I have to replace mine at least once every 6 months and I run premium wiper blades.
I think the poster was making a joke. I got it, actually pretty funny

Out in the desert
It hardly ever rains, except for this Month
The summer heat hardens the rubber
I don't wash the Blow Sand off the windshield enough.
Wind blows the sand hard enough to pit the windshield

I usually change Blades every July or when i have to drive longer trips before then

3 years on a set of wipers is about the norm....Bosch Icons for the replacement and continue on.

My '22 spends most of it's life indoors as well. And I apply RainX every time I wash it (frequently). So I don't need to use the wipers much. OEM's are still going strong.

I'm surprised they lasted 3 years! I'm usually lucky to get 2 years out of them.

Just depends on your weather. It can get over 100 degrees in the summer here, so they get dried out.

Wiper blades used to last like 5-10 yrs . In se tx close to Houston. Been changing them for 40yrs or so. The mfg’s use little to no uv protective chemicals & less carbon. Now it seems 6mo. To 2yrs. & they’re falling apart. Park outside 365 6mo. In the shade maybe a lil longer. Garaged ,2yrs maybe more. However , I occasionally use plain Rainx & wipe on the wiper blades. After cleaning them off. This seems to make them last a lil longer.
