2500 grill

Looking to change grill from chrome to color on my new 2012 2500 . Are the 1500 & 2500 grills the same. It looks like the 2500 is taller specially with the raise hood. Some sites show the same numbers for both like rock auto. Others show different numbers. Can anyone help?

The 2500 grill is about 2" taller than the 1500.

You also need the hood to match don't you? I think the profiles are different.

That's what I thought. I actually measured a 1500 and 2500 in the Walmart parking lot last night. the 2500 is a little over 1" taller. The interior measurements are the same. The 2500 has a flat edge around the interior. it appears that an insert would be the same for both. Thanks all for the help.
