Wouldn’t run a 305 on a 9” wide wheel, if you want the wide tire look go 10”. Sidewall flex is useful in certain applications, but not on a daily with lower profile. 35x11.5 tires are becoming a more common option, they usually sit just over 34” actual height with Lt truck inflation.

by your observation you shouldnt run a 275 on a 9 inch rim either

If you can put down more G’s in the skidpad and run a quicker quarter mile with a stock R/T then I’ll take them off!

Just to clarify, 275 is ok on 9.5 wheel but not recommend on a 10? And a 305 is fine on either a 9 or 10"?

going by that chart you can put a 275 on a 10in and no by the chart on the 305...but i have 305 on a 9in and it works just fine, and if discount tire didnt think it would they wouldnt have mounted them and gave me a warranty

Nitto site says 7.5-9.5 for 275 and 8.5-11 for 305.
On a 10 wide what would be the most backspacing for a 305? 5.5 work?

Came across a couple pics on custom offset.
Could do the stock 275/60 in a falken wildpeak, that tire looks great. I gotta say the look of the tire really sets the look of the truck, to me anyway a more aggressive sidewall makes the tire look fatter.
Could run that procomp wheel which would sit like this setup

Nother nice one, stock size falkens on 0 offset.

You sound like my step father-in-law. Was adamant against 10 wides so researched until the cows came home and went with 9” -12 offset. Saw a truck with 10 wides and the aggressive 4-5” lip in person and immediately regretted the decision.

Now has 10 wides on his 5th Gen (with 305/55). I strongly suggest finding someone local(with a 10” wheel setup) so you only have to make one purchase the right way. 0 offset to -25 are going to throw water along the side unless you have monster flares and splash guards. It’s inevitable

Lol yeah i research too much and always make wrong decision!
Buddy of mine has 10 wide -25 and 305s on a sport, sticks out too far for me. Could look for -12 i guess.
The procomp i listed has over 3" lip.
What made you go back to a 275?

I love both the look and usability of a 275x65x20, and what I'll likely go with when it's time to get new shoes for my ride. the 275x55 tire it came with just looks terrible IMHO.

20x9.5 -6 offset 5" backspacing, i am correct that they will stick out 1¼ more?

Test fit a wheel lol, looks like its about ½" inside to flush with flare.
Endless tire size options! I may stay a 275/60 falcon or general apt or go to the 275/65 nitto g2.
What lugs should i go with, gorilla? The stocks were too wide.
