So lets say, the 7 inch cst lift, which uses a 4 inch spindle and 3 inch springs, still creates that stress due to the taller springs?

As far as I know, yes. If it doesnt have the cross member drop then the springs will alter the angles of ball joints. It may not be as bad on the 4th gen suspension but i dont know because im not that familiar with their set up

I'm not sure which I want/need to do first. Tires or spindles. If I do spindles first, I can go ahead and find a little taller tire than the 295/70/17 which is what I was gonna run if I didn't level, but I think those might look a little small with a 3 inch level

What do you think?

Currently running 285/70s

of course best option is to do both tires and spindles at same time, but Id say spindles first. get used to the height adjustment and then get bigger tires since bigger tires most likely wont fit without spindles

That's what I was thinking, but am having trouble finding the right size. I'd like a 34 inch tire no more than 12 inches wide so I don't have to run wheel spacers

It looks good, maybe run a inch taller on your next tires, that's why I was wanting close to if not a 34 inch tire so it doesn't look too small

they'll replace them and be 6" longer than stock, the pro comp ones are for 6" of lift up front.

cst sells 4" longer brake lines, but they are $120-130! so I figured youd want the cheaper ones :)

if you ask the ebay seller, I know he sells some too, but I don't know if they are SS like these others ones, if I remember correctly I think he said they were $80

Good info to know, much appreciated! Is there a thread on here somewhere on how to swap the spindles? With my ram having coil springs, and my explorer torsion bars, I'm unfamiliar with the coil setup

I wish I could help you out brother, but I honestly haven't even searched for a thread. im sure if you find a generic thread for changing spindles you can complete the task. I have heard its a very easy task

Ill probably end up having one of the techs install everything at work one day. Perks of working at a dealer, half off labor

Are these replacing the factory lines up front or do they connect to them?

One more question about these before I order, are these both front lines or just for one side? Reason I ask is I've found a few sites that sell the lines individually which makes no sense to me..

im not sure but I would assume its for both. I haven't checked the link recently, but if it doesn't say "pair" or "2pcs", then it wouldn't hurt to contact the seller. Don't forget the seller of the spindles sells some as well.

forgot I sent you the 02-08 link, heres the link for the 09-12 (same product number though. but if it helps to clear your mind of any confusion :))

7525 Pro Comp Brake Hose Kit (6") for 09-up Dodge Ram at Andy's Auto Sport

also don't forget, you can use the stock brake lines if your budget calls for it, youll just have to switch the left and right sides.

Switch the left and right lines? Why is one side longer than the other?

I don't think one is longer than the other, a member said it was because of the way they "twist" that it makes them longer when they are switched.

I know member "bullram" on this forum replaced his CST extended stainless brake lines and went back to his stock brake lines. (and he actually has 4" lift spindles)
