That’s really hard to say to be honest. That pin isn’t “cemented” in there so there’s always going to be a little movement from it. Whine is usually due to where the gears mesh. I thought I started to see a wear pattern on the ring gear but wasn’t sure it wasn’t just the light and shadows. See if you can tell where the pinion gear is wearing on the ring gear. Is it more towards the center of the ring or the outside of the ring. There’s always a little gear lash in it as well from a stop to starting to turn the ring gear and yours didn’t look excessive to me. You’re positive the whine is coming from the differential?

yes i lifted up the truck with a tractor and ran it and its in the center and not out like a wheel bearing it was part of the recall and they put a lock on the pinion nut so i know its not loose it has 200k on it i was going to check the fluid and it was a quart low at first you could only hear it if you opened the rear window at speeds around 60 and above now i can hear it all the time from 20 and up there was no metal on the magnet there is no slack if you get on and off the gas several times fast but the sound does change from on the gas and off guess i need to get some tracking paint

Even after adding the quart of fluid there was no change? Did you add any limited slip additive to it at that time or did you use Redline diff fluid?? If not, maybe just add some additive and try again. I didn’t see anything that jumped out at me but someone else might chime in and say they did.

maybe it has always been like this and i just noticed it i checked the temps after a hour drive at hi speeds the wheel bearings were 90 deg the front of the diff was 173 and the back was 160 deg from what i have read that is low temps for a 3.92 lsd

And you can hear the whine with the back end jacked up? Try putting a screwdriver to the pinion bearing and the axle bearings to see if they are shot?

If you got a whine, it’s likely bearings, most likely pinion bearings. If it comes and goes when you’re on/off the throttle then it’s pinion bearings. If it was low on fluid for awhile, the bearings are likely shot. Once a diff starts making noise, it will only get worse.

That little bit of slack in the cross pin/side gears is normal.

Put it on jack stands, get someone to run it at the speed the noise occurs and use a stethoscope or a screwdriver and put it where the pinion bearings/side bearings are. Listen for where the noise is the loudest.

I just had mine opened up. (13’ ram sport w3.92) the Crosspin wasn’t as sloppy as that. It was a perfect fit. Also I assume you have that keeper bolt in the pin removed for the video.
