I got 40s that aren't snow rated but I'm getting tired of spending so much time polishing my rims after winter.

So I figured if I can find a set of steel 17s then I can buy another set of winter tires. Figured why not try a snow rated tire. I live in the south but travel to the North a lot and it takes it toll on the rims (polished)

I run 37" Toyo MTs, handle amazing in all conditions I've put them in. (waiting on warm weather to give them a good rock test.) They also aren't too loud or have significant tread wear like other mud tires. I recommend them all too often on here

I hate Toyo ran them and they sucked in the snow and only got 25K out of them. I use Milestar now for a mud tire and they do well in the snow. Just looking for a decent AT for my winter rims I think I'm going with General Grabber ATX

I went through something similar last week. I put together a little spreashseet to make a mental note of the options i had specific to my new tires: AT, 3PMSF certification, 3 ply sidewalls, S speed rating, or R at the very least. 315/70/17 or 35x12.5x17, I went with KO2's load rating C in my case, but all of them are avaialble in 37's, E rating and are AT's.

I just bought the fallen wildpeak at3's in 37. Plus I'm in PA with a little snow, but lots of mud. Getting them mounted on Monday. I'll give some feedback.

On a side note, had them mounted on my wifes fwd Chevy traverse today, and drove them through some good deep mud, and I am pretty impressed. They did better than the bfh ko2's. The bfg's had about 20k miles on them, but I really think the falkens still would have performed better.... now, in the snow, the ko2's are so far very disappointing for a mountain snow verified tire, I think Michelin/bfg spent a lot to get that emblem on the tire...

Not to concerned with mud as I'll just run them in the winter months but might hit some trails. Please do a follow up!
