What about using wheel spacers to get them away from the frame? It can be done with just Bilsteins and stock 20" wheels, but the tire would rub the frame slightly at full lock

Just watch how wide a wheel you run, I have 35's on 12.50 and still have a slight inner fender rub with a 6" lift-adding a 1.5 BL to be done with it...
Ah yeah, that truck has been kind of inspiration for me personally, love that look, didn't know the original owner called it Black SheepThere’s a guy who put 37” tires on with just front shocks set a 1.75” lift. Nothing in the rear. He removed the fender wells.
I think it looked good!
Google search “black sheep Ram” it should come up. There’s pics and YouTube videos
Ah yeah, that truck has been kind of inspiration for me personally, love that look, didn't know the original owner called it Black Sheep, 2nd owner has done a bunch of stuff to it, new engine, Icon 2.5 suspension, HD air bags, super cool bed rack, Roof top tent etc etc.
I thought it was so cool when I first saw it had those bump stops. I’ve always wanted those especially for the front since the Ram doesn’t have the traditional kind, just the built in one on the strut/shock.
I figured they would be good for the rear when towing too. I have the Firestone RideRite or whatever they’re called. And they are fantastic for towing. And my trailer has a heavy tongue weight (1,000lbs) But they suck when I am not towing! I have maybe 2” till the axle hits the bump stops. So going over a speed bump at 5mph they hit.
Then I heard the guy talking about the problem he has with the rear. It just made me laugh and shake my head. The guys who put those on should be embarrassed!!!
