Has anyone relocated their battery from under the hood to the bed. I was wanting to remove my battery from under the hood and put 2 optima batteries in the bed. Any ideas anyone done this?

Well I figured I already have a 0 gauge running from the batter to my amp that runs to back of the cab. So I am kinda half way there. Anyone know how many amps a 3rd gen 5.7 starter draws? I think 0ga should be good.

I don't know of any Hemi's to have done it, but there are quite a few CTDs that have taken their batteries and mounted them under the bed. Look around CF for some ideas there. I actually plan to do this with my 84 Chevy as it gets put together.

If you go to Belden or similar wire manufacture's page you can see the ga / ft run / amp you need.

Just look at what the stock wire is, and how long the starter cable is. Then make sure you stick with that same ratio. My intuition says that 0 ga would be perfectly fine.
