3rd gen cap / topper interchange?

Looking for a cap for my long bed regular cab. Will the cap from a quad cab fit assuming it is 8ft? Can't tell from pics if the back of the cab on the wuad can has the same profile. Looks similar. Cap I am looking at is 2hr drive each way so I want to be sure.
