So I have a weird question. I’ve seen many people put the Mega Cab dually flares from 3rd Gens on their 4th Gen duallys with the SRW bed. Would the flares interfere with RamBoxes? I know it wouldn’t be easy getting the locking mechanism for the RamBoxes connected to the remote system for locking/unlocking, but that wasn’t added until 2013, so the pre-2013 Rams had to have their RamBoxes manually locked and unlocked. Not really a worry to me. The ultimate goal would be to find a 2010-2012 Mega Cab dually, preferably a chassis cab since they get the Aisin transmission, and put a SRW RamBox bed onto the frame, and then add the 3rd Gen flares to cover the extra wheels. Should I go this route? It’s not easy to find RamBox on 3500s where I live, and I do prefer the pre-2013 trucks as well.
