I'm thinking of upgrading my stereo system, but not sure exactly what to do. I have the factory alpine system in it already, so is there anything worth replacing or should I leave it?

My goal is have a lot of bass, but also good sound quality when I turn the base down. Anybody know if the black tray behind the seats in the regular cabs is removable? I'm thinking of putting subs there

Anybody have any suggestions of what to do to my stereo to get a lot of bass and good sound quality?

Take a Pic of the rear, not sure how different it is then the 3rd gens. I have 2 10 subs in there own boxes sitting in the trey, 1 behind each seat with the amp tucked under the drivers seat.

I'll take a pic and post it in a little. My friends and I were thinking 12s or 15s, but I'm not sure if 15s would be too much for the truck since it's only regular cab especially since I already have the factory 10

If you stand over 5 foot tall you won't be able to put the seat far enough forward to fit a 15 back there, I can barely get my seat back far enough with just my single 12 behind my seat in the 3rd gen, the 4th gen's look like they have even less room back there.

I'm 5 ft 7 right now so yeah that might be a problem unless I can figure out a good position with the seats and pedals

Lol I'm 5' 5" and my 12 puts that seat pretty far forward in mine, so that might be difficult.....

I already have a center console so I may be able to pull it apart and figure out where the factory sub is mounted and see what space is under the center console to mount subs. Also somebody was telling me about flush mount tool boxes and how people put subs and all that in the tool box and weld it in to the truck so I can fit more subs

Took some rough measurements and I got 5 ft. wide by 1 ft. deep at the bottom and tapers to 6 inches deep at the top due to my seat being reclined a little

Here's some pics of the area:

Looks the same as mine. 12's would be a waste unless you get 12's that dont put out alot. If your going for thump, there isnt enough air to be pushed in the truck, 2 nice 10s will give you enough.

Put out alot? What does air do to the subs?

Yeah I saw that. My boxes will be different cause I'm getting low pro subs.

What brands would you guys recommend?

I think I'm gonna go with 2 12s behind the seats and leave the factory 10 in. What size amp would I need?

My plan for now is a 12 behind each seat and the amp in the middle or under one of the seats

depends on the subs you go with.
