Back around 1999, I used to drive to work, a distance of 22 miles one way, that got me into San Diego.
Almost every morning, a VW Bug would pull up beside me at the signal light at the freeway off ramp.
It did not sound like a VW & one day, he was in front of me at the light. I noticed that he had 12" rear tires.
I was told several weeks later that it had a 427 cu. in. engine in it.
I never saw him punch it, but i sure could hear it
