I have a traditional 5 lug 20” OEM RAM wheel.

See a lot of people selling 2019 OEM wheel, but as a 6 lug I’d like to know what I need to change.

Appreciate the advice.

They do push them out further. I ran spacers on my old truck with no issues except throwing excessive mud when on the trails. If you aren't on the trails and are street driving mostly or not worried about it I'd reccomend em.
I kinda liked the stance it gave the truck.

Seeing as I am a complete newb. Are they simply a bolt on to the existing. Permanent or just an adapter?

Just an adapter. So you bolt it to your existing hub where the stock wheel would go. And then it adapts to 6 bolt of the new wheel and you bolt that on just like you would normally. If that makes sense.

It does make sense. That’s what I figured. I see a lot of people popping off OEMs, and I always liked the different style wheels MOPAR has to offer.

You would need wheel adapter to go from the 5x139 bolt pattern your 2015 has to the 6x139 bolt pattern the 5th gen Ram 1500s have.

They would look like this:

I don't know if the OEM wheels are hub-piloted or stud-piloted. Assuming that they are hub-piloted, make sure the adapters are as well.

Also, your ball joints will likely wear faster since they will be under more stress, especially if you go to bigger tires when you change wheels.

well here is a thought put them on and if don't work out sell them again.unless you think you would loose money on the deal. Just saying.
