I am looking at leveling my truck but want a good ride quality. I already have a set of Hellbent Spacers (not installed) but I don't have shocks yet.

Would it be worth it to instead just buy the 5100s or get a cheaper set of shocks and install my spacers?

Also, is there any other suspension mods that would make my truck handle better?

what do you mean by handle better? like body roll? or like when you are towing etc?

From my experience, i just put the 5100's in and they ride better then my stock ones. I had spacers in my old truck, and for me there is no comparison, 5100's all the way.

I mean i think i paid $97 a piece shipped for my 5100's cant go wrong there. Just my 2 cents, would like to hear other opinions also.

I wonder if someone wants to buy my spacers now. I thinking of doing the 5100s with the hellwig sway bars. Do they make a front end steering stabilizer for the 1500? I found some for the 2500.

I know fabtech makes one, but i dont know if it will work on a non 6'' lift. if you do the 5100's you might be able to get away with using the fabtech stabilizer.

If you really want a good ride, get the 5100s and then ditch any and all sway bars.

This will let your front end perform as a true IFS. The sway bar ties both the left and right into one and that is why these trucks have a bad wrap for being horrible in the ride department.

Of course people are going to say the safety aspect.

I had a 2006 Dodge Ram TRX4 for 3 years. Remove that sway bar. Man it drove like a dream. But I will say, I beat the CRAP out of that thing off road. Off road it drove like a dream compared to a truck with a sway bar. Enough where I could doulble my speed down a desert trail and still feel in control, instead of bouncing around.

I haven't really done a lot of offroading. I have done some when I have gone camping. I mostly use my truck to haul my motorcycle back and forth to the track. I am getting the 5100s. Where is the best place to purchase them?

Would the 5100s work on my stock 2002 1500 2wd 3.7L? I'm really looking to improve my ride quality but also level my truck. Right now I feel like the 5100s are my best option but feel free to correct me if I am wrong. As you can tell by my name I am new to all of this so I could use all of the help I can get. lol

Yeah bro you should be good from what I've read. As long as they have the adjustable shocks for your model.

And I won't need a leveling kit or spacers in addition to the shocks to get the level look I want for my truck right? The shocks themselves do the leveling as long as they are adjustable? I have heard both sides so I'm not sure which is the case.

The shocks themselves will do the leveling. I just put them in my truck this past weekend, install was a ***** being that everything was pretty rusted. Broke my passenger side steering knuckle tightening up the upper ball joint so truck should be back on the road tomorrow, ill let you know how the ride is. I set mine at the highest level to level out the truck.

these particular leveling shocks wont fit your rig bro, they are only for 06+ 1500 4x4s.

The new shocks ride like a dream, 80 times better then stock ride set on the highest setting.

Where did you end up buying the 5100s at? Did you do front and rear or just front? And did you remove the sway bars like Ares_288 suggested?

I would just get the leveling kit and leave on the stock shocks because that is what I did and it handles great.
