Have a Reflection 5th Wheel Rv with UVW of 11000 & GVWR 13900.
lokking at a 2013 Ram 2500 5.3Hemi CrewCab Laramie Limited Ram Box 3.73 rear axle ratio. Input the Vin at Rv.campingworld.com’s towing guide, it says 17290# for max towing. Is that acurate? Can this truck do what I’m asking it to do?

I would say your info is wrong. There is no 5.3 Hemi (5.7?). But even my 2018 6.4 with 4.10's only has a max of 15,560lbs. The most I have towed with mine is 9300lbs and towed it with ease but sounds like you have the 5.7? While it may tow it I'm not sure you'd be happy with the performance but I have no experience with the 2500 with the 5.7. Wait until others with experience with that combo responds but in my opinion I think that is too much trailer for that truck.

You may be quoting a GVWR and not a tow rating. There's no good way to put this but that trailer is too big for a 2500 with a Hemi.

As stated above, that truck is not the right one for the weight. With an average pin weight of 20% your looking at about 2800 pounds payload, not including hitch, people other than yourself plus gear. My 2018 2500 6.4 has a max payload of 2900 pounds which is just about as high as a 2500 goes; you are in 3500 (possibly DRW) territory with that trailer.

Thanks all. I was worried that number was too good to be true. Sounds like I’m just the latest victim of salesman BS. Looks like the 2018 3500 duramax with Allison is going to be the winner for me.

Others on here have said they have towed this much weight with a 6.4 Hemi with 4.10's but that is quite a bit of weight so I can't say for sure. Many 2500 6.4's have payloads up to 3200lbs. Mine is 2973lbs but mine is loaded up and is one of the lowest payloads I have seen on a 2500 6.4. If you are primarily towing on flatter ground with shorter trips the 2500 6.4 may well work for you but if you are in a mountainous area then the diesel is the better option. I think you would be ok with a single rear wheel but a dually would probably handle better but with that pin weight a 3500 is almost a must in a diesel
