owner of a 2015 6.4L tradesmen; just wanted to get a thread going of likes, dislikes and what people are doing to their trucks - suspension, wheels, tires, performance, towing, and whatever

Welcome. There is already a sticky thread for 6.4 stuff with almost 3,100 posts as of this morning. There is also a "what works and what doesn't work" thread under way. Lots of good folks on here, and good information to be found.

This is kind of off your topic, but I'm looking doing a 6.4 transplant. Trying to get everything lined out and tracked down.

Yep, same gears as the diesel trans doesn't make for great gasser ratios. Doesn't sound as good as the 1500 exhaust setup, but that can be fixed easily enough. I thought the front end feel/confidence was much better after installing an aftermarket front track bar. Rides much smoother after lowering the tire pressure and having the threshold programming reset as MADDOG outlined in the sticky. I started running 89 octane instead of 87 and IMO it definitely runs better.

Congrats on your new truck, where are the pics!?

Thuren Fabrication. Nothing listed for 14/15's on their site but I spoke to Aaron and he has an adjustable 18mm bar available. Was $375 shipped.

if I could get a 6.4 from the factory in a rcsb I would be all over it but no luck so the 5.7 will have to do the job.

Just had a local exhaust shop take out my muffler and put a straight pipe in place just like the mufflex setup and LOVE it! Love this truck so far and haven't even hit the 500 miles yet

Too clunky for my taste, time will tell if it lasts, 25K so far

I posted a thread in here about a clunk when coming to a stop. I thought the same as you, clunky tranny. But I Never felt the clunk, only heard it. Now I have 700 miles, haven't heard it for a while now. Its got to be breaking in.

I don't really like the shifting with the MDS. In the city, I turn it off. Tranny feels better than my Titan's tranny.

I've got 26k on it since NOV. It's broken in. Between rough shifts and it being all around clunky and mapped wrong, I'll be surprised if it lasts any time at all. I had a 1500 with 8 speed and it was a dream. If I'm running unloaded or without a trailer, my 2nd gen ram drives better around town.

I'm going to drive it till I get closer to warrant and raise Cain about it

I have the 2015 6.4l and love it so far, only have 5000k on it so far but pulls my 10k trailer like a dream and average 22L/100km when towing 14.5L/100km empty 76f474b7442ab907ed72b7716515119f.jpg4c24c52dd5051e87e4e4ba6729ed9e58.jpg
