6" exhaust tips are actually the right size ;)

For ***** and giggles I ordered one cheap, ebay 6" exhaust tip to slip on and see if I like it.
It is not that I am convinced that I will even want to do this mod, but more that I keep thinking about it and I just need to get it out of my system, lol!

:hidesbehindsofa:

:Get him!:

Those are aren't cheap per say.

These are the ones I'm getting
Brand New Polished Stainless Rolled Angle Cut Exhaust Tip 3 5" in 5" Out 15" L | eBay

It's stainless. Not any better or worse this overpriced AFE, magnaflow, Corsa etc tips!!!!

Not cheap as in bad, but cheap as in the the lowest price I could find. The prices jump from the 5" to the 6". That tip was $32 shipped.

I love my 5".....

Nice, and damn your truck is clean and shiney!

Just to see if I will like the bigger tips, I am gonna paint them flat black and slide them over my 5" tips (I got these with the 5" opening for this reason).

I'll post pics in the next couple days. But DAMN these things are HUGE! I didn't realize the difference an inch could make... Lol!

My 6" tips idea is so bad, this thread has turned into a discussion on Dumb and Dumber vs Ace Ventura, lmao!!!

I love it!

I got lazy and didn't paint it black... I just slide it on over the MF tips. I don't think it looks that huge on the truck.

Notice, how it curves perfectly with the bumper cut out (pic 1), and it also angles better than the MF tips (pic 3)...

Keep in mind it will not be as prominent in black as it is in chrome... black will make it more subtle.

Thoughts??

I think it's a bit large for the opening, but that's just my opinion. If you like it, go with it! I think the 5" is just right, but I'm sure plenty of us say that to ourselves every day :naughty:

Good lord that big thing fills that gap :evillol: It does look like it fits the bumper pretty good, looks even all the way around. It hangs down little low for my liking but I could get use to it.
